As gay men, we often have negative subconscious views towards sex because we’ve been socially conditioned to believe who we are, who choose to have sex with, is immoral. There is nothing wrong with a positive sexual connection, but it requires being present and having mindful awareness.
And, I don’t know about you, but if I hook up with a guy, it’s rarely mindful.
Nothing wrong with the outlet, so long as it comes from a place of love, compassion, connection, and mindful awareness of our karmic impact, on ourselves and each other. Unfortunately, most of our sexual encounters are anything but mindful. Sometimes, though, we must be brutally honest with ourselves and take a hard look at our subconscious behaviors – really going on underneath the surface to look at the negative patterns and behaviors we repeat. We have little or no healthy role models, or examples, throughout history showing us how to positively connect with each other.
CREATING UNIQUE CONNECTIONS
We’ve had to “figure it out” as we go. Consequently, as gay men, we have the opportunity to create new and unique connections with one another. Sex is a healthy and natural part of human existence, it is one of the highest forms of joy to achieve connection to Source. But, the significance of this has been lost. Being gay is a healthy part of natural selection. It’s the universe saying “hey, instead of another man who is going to breed more children, this family needs a man who is loving, creative, compassionate, intelligent, and nurturing.”
Being gay is a healthy part of natural selection. It’s the universe saying “hey, instead of another man who is going to breed more children, this family needs a man who is loving, creative, compassionate, intelligent, and nurturing.”
We as gay men are genetically more sensible and sensitive to our straight counterparts. Therefore, we should have greater opportunity to share love, compassion, and intimacy amongst each other. What we forget is that our life is our karma, our life is our choice. We are the creators of our reality. We create our karma. We create our reality. How we choose to connect and create a positive community, is for us to collectively decide as a community. There is nothing wrong with sexual attraction or engagement.
Emotional, physical, sexual, or otherwise, it’s just energy. In the end, each of us unique and we are one and the same. It’s universal energy. The universe is both positive and negative energy. It’s up to each of us to find a healthy balance to support, love, and nurture ourselves and one another.
